So Richard Lustig, who is this guy everyone talks about in the lottery world? Well, he is so called the “lottery expert” who has won 7 lottery grand prizes.
He is also an author and has published a few books about winning the lottery, one of his books called “Learn How To Increase Your Chances of Winning The Lottery” even ranked #3 on amazon’s self help book list.
He has been featured on TV many times, mainly because of his book that got so popular and so much attention.
But to be honest he is just a regular guy who gets lucky playing the lottery. Of course his strategies work at increasing your odds but it’s not what you think and I’ll get to it later on in the article.
Let’s talk about his book now.
Learn How To Increase Your Chances of Winning The Lottery Book
I’m gonna keep it short and simple. His book pretty much consists of three main points.
1. Never miss a drawing
I mean, you can’t win if you don’t play right? True, but it’s pretty obvious, you can’t expect to win anything if you don’t even buy a ticket no need to dwell about it.
2. Never change your numbers
This is probably one of the better tactics he shares. Once you pick your set of numbers, don’t change it and it will eventually come up.
This is true and most people that play or won the lottery in the past always stick with the same numbers because it significantly increases the chances of your numbers showing up.
3. Buy an entire stack of tickets (this one is for cratch -off tickets)
The way scratch-off tickets are manufactured backs this up. If a scratch card has 1:4 chances of winning if you buy an entire stack of lets say 20 cards, you will end up with at leas 5 winning tickets. You might not make a profit but it definitely increases your odds of getting that high value ticket.
4. Buy as much tickets as you can afford
I know I said 3 points, but this one just sums up the entire “Richard Lustig lottery winning method”. Buy as much lottery and scratch-off tickets as you can afford. It’s a dangerous way of gambling and you should not be doing it, prioritise your main expenses first and than if you have some spare change spend it on lottery.
Most people agree that this is the only reason why Richard has won 7 grand prizes, because he purchased tons of tickets every draw. But that’s all you can do, pick better numbers and buy more tickets, that’s the way you win.
Should you follow Richard Lustig’s advice?
His “lottery winning methods” are what regular people call common sense. Do I recommend it? No I don’t, don’t waste your time or money.
And if you’re still not sure about Rchard’s method, check out his total winnings:
Richard’s total wins amount to a value of $1,052,205.58 (before taxes). Two of those wins were holidays rather than cash prizes, valued at $8,560.66 total. His first win was in 1993, and the last one in 2010. The wins were made up of:-
List of 7 wins:
Win 1: $10,000 – Jan 1993 (scratch-off ticket)
Win 2: $13,696.03 – Aug 1997 (Florida Fantasy 5)
Win 3: “Wheel of Fortune” Holiday trip to Los Angeles – June 2000 (valued at $3,594.66) (scratch-off ticket “2nd chance drawing”)
Win 4: Elvis Holiday trip to Memphis – Oct 2001 (valued at $4,966) (scratch-off ticket “2nd chance drawing”)
Win 5: $842,152.91 – Jan 2002 (Florida Mega Money)
Win 6: $73,658.06 – Nov 25th 2008 (Florida Fantasy 5)
Win 7: $98,992.92 – Aug 9th 2010 (Florida Fantasy 5)
Those are the 7 grand prize winnings that Rchard has won. Disappointing, right?
I’ll say this again, he is not a lottery expert, he is just a regular guy who plays a lot of smaller jackpot games because they have better odds of winning and he plays a huge amount of tickets each game, that’s why he wins. The more you play the more you win.
He hasn’t even profited a million dollars from playing the lottery. I’m not saying he’s not a millionaire, he is. But most of his money came from selling books and courses about winning the lottery. I don’t even think he plays the lottery like he used to, he just doesn’t need to anymore because he has all that money coming in from his book sales.
Lottery Winner University
Lottery Winner University is one of Richard’s lottery winning courses. In this course he teaches people how to win the lottery using his strategies.
It’s pretty much the same information you can find in his book with the difference there are instructional videos in the member’s area and you can also pruchase a lottery software as well.
Is the lottery software worth it? It’s totally a personal opinion and it will vary from person to person. It’s a software that picks the best probable numbers that will come up, so I guess it has some advantages, it’s better than picking random numbers or quick picks. So it’s up to you if you’re going to use it or not, I don’t recommend it thou.
But if you are going to use a lottery software I suggest you use this one: Lotto Destroyer.
To sum it up
Richard Lustig isn’t who he claims he is. With a little bit of patience and money anyone can achieve what he has achieved, it’s just a simple game of probability. You play more smaller games, you have better chances of winning the jackpot.
If you wanna increase your odds of winning simply do follow these:
- Pick a smaller lottery game(the have better odds of winning).
- Find your numbers and stick with them. If you don’t know what numbers to pick use a software like this one.
- Play multiple tickets each draw, more tickets give you more chances of winning.
- Join a syndicate.
- Rinse and repeat
